TWINbiome®

Microbiome data turned into decisions

TWINbiome converts shotgun metagenomic and multi-omics data into scores, interpretive panels and explainable recommendations. The same infrastructure runs in individual reports, clinical collaborations and two TÜBİTAK 1507 projects.

Platform

Three layers, one data backbone

01

Bioinformatics pipeline

Quality control, host-DNA removal, species- and function-level profiling; a standardised, reproducible pipeline.

02

Score and model layer

Metabolite and phenotype prediction from the microbiome (gradient boosting); SHAP-based explainability shows which organisms drive each score.

03

Dashboard and decision support

User and clinician dashboards, tracking over time, roadmap and nutrition-programme generation.

Scores

Explainable scores

Each score is normalised to 0–100 and positioned against a reference population. Next to each score, the contributing microorganisms and functional pathways are listed.

Scores are not a clinical diagnosis; they are interpreted in the context of research and nutrition counselling.

DiversityScore

Species richness and evenness.

RecoveryScore

Patterns linked to recovery and short-chain fatty acid production capacity.

InflammationScore

The weight in your profile of groups highlighted in inflammation research.

GutBrainScore

Patterns linked to neuroactive metabolite pathways.

R&D verticals

One platform, two separate validation paths

TÜBİTAK 1507 · 2026–2028

CRCBIOME — early colorectal cancer risk signals

Prospective evaluation of microbiome- and cfDNA-based early risk signals, in collaboration with gastroenterology clinics.

TÜBİTAK 1507 · 2026–2028

Women in Performance — recovery in women athletes

Tracking recovery, inflammation and performance in women athletes through microbiome signatures; cycle-aware nutrition recommendations.
